One of the distinct advantages of LPL 4x5 enlargers is their modular lamphouse design. By interchanging filtration modules, the enlarger can be optimized for different types of printing. Three different modules are available - Dichroic Color, VCCE Variable Contrast, and B&W Diffusion.
The LPL Dichroic Color module is ideal for colour printing but is suitable for B&W printing as well. Utilizing fade-free dichroic filters, it provides a filtration range of 0-200 yellow and cyan, and 0-170 magenta. A convenient "White Light lever" can be used to temporarily remove all filtration, maximizing light output for focusing and image composition. The module also features a light attenuator to reduce light output by 2 stops.
