Elevation Crank Handle for Omega D and E Enlargers

On Omega D-2, D-3, D-4, D-5, D-6, and Chromega E Dichroic enlargers, the original elevation crank handle is press fit onto splines on the end of the elevation shaft. Normally the handle remains securely on the shaft for the life of the enlarger. But occasionally, due to heavy use or abuse, the handle loosens and falls off. When this happens, usually both the handle and the splines are damaged so that the handle will not stay on. The typical repair for this is to remove the old elevation shaft and gears, and replace it with a new shaft with gears and crank handle assembly.

However, a simple alternative is to install our "field replacement" Elevation Crank Handle. It doesn't look like the original, but it does the job just as well, costs much less than replacing the entire assembly, and installs in minutes with no disassembly of the enlarger.
