This two-piece filter holder is an "above the lens" type that accepts 5" x 5" filters. It fits in the variable condenser compartment in the D6 Zoom condenser lamphouse and the DV variable condenser lamphouse as fitted to D2, D3, D5 and D6 enlargers. The #404-821 Filter Holder was specifically designed to fit the Zoom lamphouse, and is finished in grey to match the finish on that head, but can be used just as well in the DV lamphouse in place of the #429-052 DV Filter Holder at less cost.
This filter holder is not needed (nor recommended) if using the heavy weight "Polycontrast" or "Multigrade" filters as supplied by Kodak or Ilford.
The used filter holders show signs of previous use but are in perfect working condition.
