This is the lever on the left side of the LPL 4x5 enlargers that lifts the pressure plate, allowing you to insert the negative carrier. With heavy use, the plastic collar on the underside of the lever can wear or split, allowing it to turn with no effect. If your original lever is broken, this is the proper replacement.
