This Heat Absorbing Glass assembly is specifically designed for Omega B600, B635, and C700 condenser enlargers. It is simply inserted into the lamphouse above the condenser lenses. The frame sets it high enough to straddle the filter drawer. Heat absorbing glass eliminates much of the infrared radiation from the light produced by the enlarging lamp, thus helping to protect filters and negatives from heat damage, and reducing the chance of negative "popping" which affects focus.
