The Omega Alignment Tool consists of an adjustable spirit level mounted at one end of a 15" long flat metal rod. In use, you place the tool on the baseboard in one direction and adjust the level to center the bubble. Then place the tool on the negative and lens stages in the same orientation to check the alignment of those stages compared to the baseboard. Repeat these steps with the tool at 90° to the original orientation. Suitable for use with most enlargers.
For alignment instructions for Omega A-2, B-22, B-7, B-8, B-9, B-10, D2, D2V, DM-2, D-3, DM-3, D-4, E-5, and E-6 enlargers, refer to the Omega Technical Service Manual. For other enlargers you will need to determine the alignment adjustment points and procedures from other sources.
