Omega B600, B635, and C700 enlargers were supplied with a red safety filter mounted directly to the enlarger. Unfortunately, the plastic filter supplied by Omega is not very strong and breaks off with little force. We see many of these enlargers missing the red filter because of this. You can continue to replace the broken filter, but the best solution is to install an accessory under-the-lens Filter Holder. In addition to holding the Omega red filter, the metal filter holder can be used for under-the-lens type variable contrast filters, portrait diffusion grid, special effects filters, etc. Our special kit is supplied complete with mounting hardware.
